Review by hotel critic
Stepping into Hera Hotel felt like unraveling a historical tapestry. The warm welcome and gentle guidance from the hosts added a personal touch to our stay, making us feel truly cherished amidst the ancient charm that enveloped us. From the old Greek stone house to the pomegranate tree in the garden symbolizing femininity and marriage, every corner whispered tales of bygone eras. The marble foot at the entrance hinted at the grandeur that once graced this sacred land, while the terrace overlooking the temple of Demeter and the red courtyard painted a mesmerizing picture of Bergama's rich heritage. Our mornings were a delightful journey of flavors and scents, as we indulged in a hearty breakfast on the terrace, overlooking the village below. The stone wine cellar, richly stocked with Turkish and international wines, added a touch of luxury to our evenings, inviting us to savor the essence of time with every sip. As an art historian, this hotel not only satisfied my wanderlust but also heightened my senses to the cultural symphony that Bergama hummed with each passing moment. Whether it was the strategic location that whispered secrets of the Middle Ages or the serene aura that resonated peace and knowledge in every stone, Hera Hotel stood as a beacon of harmony amidst the bustling city. As the winds whispered tales of forgotten beauties and the sun drenched the land in golden hues, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this tranquil sanctuary that embraced us with open arms. To me, Hera Hotel wasn't just a place to stay; it was a gateway to the soul of Bergama, a city that danced to the rhythm of history and embraced the future with open arms.
